Ingenuity vs. Budget: The Creative Resilience of the Latin American Designer
[Event Recap] Diana Borges, our Senior Interior Designer, represented U+A at the second edition of Latinos in Design UAE, joining a panel discussion that brought together professionals from architecture, interior design, real estate, and the wider built environment sector.
The conversation, titled 𝗜𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘃𝘀. 𝗕𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗿, explored how designers navigate constraints, respond to evolving project requirements, and deliver meaningful outcomes through resourcefulness, collaboration, and design thinking. Diana shared perspectives drawn from her experience in the region, contributing to a discussion on the role of adaptability in shaping successful design solutions.
The event highlighted the growing presence of the Latin American design community in the UAE and provided a platform for knowledge exchange, professional networking, and cross-disciplinary dialogue.
